Hello!

I am excited to once again participate in the LOVE YOU by Shoppers Drug Mart Run for Women in support of women's mental health and wellness programs through Calgary Health Foundation.

Women's mental health is continuously impacted by changes in society. Over the past two years, 60% of women aged 18-34 and 63% of women aged 35-54 said their mental health had worsened (https://angusreid.org/covid-19-two-year-anniversary/). Shoppers Run for Women aims to support women by bringing communities together in support of local women's mental health programs and to destigmatize mental health issues by talking about them.

Fundraising for this event will benefit the Women's Mental Health Clinic at Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary. The Clinic provides a much needed service to women with mental health issues who are considering pregnancy, are pregnant or are within a eyar of postpartum. Nearly 1 in 5 women will experience mental health difficulties, such as major depression or anxiety disorders, during this stage of life.

Women's lives are transformed one step at a time. Your donation will bring one woman one step closer to recovery. Any amount helps to make a difference. ​
