I have never been a runner. I have never really even been a walker. If anything, I've mostly been a driver.
But after last year's health crisis, I had to do something different to change my life. Cardiac rehab is no joke.
I started out with a couch-to-5k program and managed to complete it. Now I am working towards being able to run 10k without stopping. I'm not breaking any speed records, but I am doing more than I ever thought I could do. This will be my first race.
I've been letting my hair grow out since I was in the hospital and I am hoping to be able to shave it all off again after I complete the race successfully. Want to see that? Please consider donating.
I am lucky to be participating in the SHOPPERS. LOVE YOU. Run for Women in Support of Women’s Wellness Programs at BC Women's Hospital.
Exercise is the best way to manage mental health and thousands across Canada will join me to experience the healing effect of walking or running. Women’s lives are transformed one step at a time. Your donation will bring one woman one step closer to recovery. Help me on my cardiac rehab journey to help them.
