Women go through so much mental strain from postpartum depression, anxiety, work/life balance stress, maintaining society’s standards of us and more.
If we cry, we’re emotional, if we stand up for ourselves we’re combative, if we don’t wear makeup we’re lazy, if we care about our appearance we’re conceited, if we’re not skinny we’re fat, if we workout we must be doing it for attention, if we don’t shave we’re barbaric, if we don’t smile we’re rude, if we’re too polite we’re flirting, If we work we’re bad mothers, if we’re stay at home moms we’re shamed if we ask for help with the cleaning or caring of kids. There’s a million other examples, but No matter what we do, we are damned if we do - damned if we don’t.
Now imagine the mental strain that puts on a person; Your Wife, Your Mother, Your Sister, Your Daughter, Your Best Friend, whoever is in your life.
