I'm excited to be joining thousands of walkers and runners across Canada in the 2021 Run for Women, with Women's College Hospital Foundation. I am pleased to be raising help for women’s mental health programs at Women's College Hospital Foundation.
I am also taking this opportunity to take care of my own mental health. "Research shows that exercise that raises your heart rate for at least 25 minutes can have an anti-depressant effect!". (Women's College Hospital Foundation publication, Spring 2021).
I figure I could use a little boost to my overall mental health by a good 10k walk/run, and help raise resources for other women who might need a little boost too!
I'll be completing my run/walk in July.
