I have struggled with mental health issues for some time, but this past while has been extra difficult. I am so fortunate to have a support network of family, friends, and health resources and benefits, and have found solace in taking daily walks outside in the fresh air. My walking pace quickened to a jog and my strength and confidence grew. I am ready to show myself what I am capable of: on June 25th, I'll be participating in a virtual 10K!
I know there are many people who are not so fortunate to have a strong support network or outlet for their mental health, so I'm excited to be supporting women’s mental health programs at Ontario Shores Foundation by participating in the LOVE YOU by Shoppers Drug Mart™ Run for Women.
It’s not easy, but it’s easier together.
As many of us are experiencing, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on our mental health. We do the best we can everyday. Sometimes our hearts are on our sleeves, sometimes our hearts are on the ground. But when we put our hearts together, when we’re there for each other, we’re amazing.
